What I’m working on in Sewing Classes

Currently I’m working on a doll. A cloth doll. Ally and I are making dolls who are best friends, like we are. I’ll name mine Mary-Louise Beth or something like that, cause the style of the doll is like a pioneer old-timey country doll. The doll is around 16″? I believe? Right now Mary-Louise Beth is sort of like a base cause she’s got no face or hair or outfit, just a cloth muslin doll (MUSLIN and MUSLIM are way too different things, BTW. One is the type of cloth and the other is like the religion). Anyway, here she is!
AWWW! ISN’T SHE JUST ADORABLE????? LOOK AT THAT FACE….. Of course not. She’s a bald, faceless, four-limbed creature. She looks like one of those things my art teacher has in the art room at school except hers are wooden and posing different ways and considered art and mine is a cloth faceless creature. Poor Mary-Louise Beth. But she and Ally’s doll will be much happier when they have faces and hair and a beautiful dress.

This is what I’m making her dress out of. Isn’t it pretty!!!!! The rose pattern is the top part of the dress and the dark green leaves pattern is for the skirt part of the dress. I think I also make a coat and  a hat then we will paint on shoes. Sewing is sew cool!!!!!!!
